Hank was born in Miami Beach, Florida, grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, studied International Management at the University of Cincinnati and was in the US Navy Reserves during his time at University. He has worked in Corporate America for more than 20 years in the hospitality industry. He became the Franchise Operations Director for Red Robin Restaurants and managed 43 locations with over 4,000 employees throughout the US and Canada. During this time, he traveled to many beautiful places before ending up in San Diego, California. It was there that he fell in love with the ocean and became an avid surfer, a skilled sailor and water sport enthusiast. This love of water sports led him to adventures in Hawaii, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Australia, Nicaragua, South Africa, Europe and all throughout the Caribbean.
In 2012, Hank cashed out his corporate stock, sold his house and bought a 50’ sailing catamaran. For seven years, Hank charted his own boat in the USVI and BVI earning Crew of the Year by the Virgin Islands Property & Yacht Reader’s Choice Award in 2016. He has been featured in USA Today, multiple All at Sea Magazines publications, the Virgin Islands Newspaper and the US Virgin Islands Destinations Magazine promoting his ability to provide guests with the most amazing vacation in the islands.
Hank co-founded one of the most successful charter management companies in the Virgin Islands; Paradise Yacht Management located in St. Thomas USVI. This company is comprised of a team of experts specializing in the management of crewed yacht charters within the USVI, BVI, Windward Islands and the Bahamas. The Company successfully meets the high expectations of yacht owners by helping to offset the cost of their investment through term charters by hiring professional captains and talented chefs that keep their vessel in great condition while providing an excellent experience for guests. During this time, Hank became an independent yacht sales broker as well as an advisor for a start-up clearinghouse and charter brokerage.
In 2017, Hank co-founded VIPCA, Virgin Islands Professional Charter Association. This organization works to unify and support the local marine industry by providing training, guidance, community organization and assistance in developing industry standards while promoting good relationships among local marine businesses, yacht management companies, clearinghouses, professional crew and the governments of the USVI, BVI and Puerto Rico.
In 2019, Hank partnered with Multi-Tech Marine in Fort Lauderdale, Fl, and opened Multi-Tech Marine Virgin Islands. Multi-Tech VI specializes in the repair and maintenance of all types of catamarans staying up-to-date on all systems and technologies to provide superior results by highly skilled and factory certified technicians.
Today, Hank holds a USCG 100 Ton Master License, is a PADI Dive Master, ASA Sailing Instructor and has obtained his Marine Safety STCW 95 and First Aid training. He believes in living life to the fullest and helping others do the same. He still enjoys going on exciting adventures when traveling to new places and surfing a wave every opportunity he gets!
