S/v Heaven is a 1978 44′ CSY Walkover. The 44′ walkover design is one of the Ted Irwin inspired designs. Known for their robust construction and seaworthiness, these vessels are ideal for both offshore and coastal cruising. Built to Lloyds of London certification standards, the CSY 44 features an internally encapsulated keel with removable concrete ballast, allowing a reduced draft if a shoal draft is desired.
This vessel has a two-cabin layout with abundant storage and generous headroom and beam. The galley has cooking and refrigeration facilities, and both the v-berth and aft cabin have comfortable mattresses. The aft cabin has its own head, while the second head is located opposite the galley. The salon is bright and spacious, and the starboard settee can be converted into another sleeping berth.
S/v Heaven is powered by a rebuilt diesel engine and is cutter rigged with a self-tacking staysail. Recent work on thru-hull fittings and related systems has been completed to improve reliability.
S/v Heaven is equipped for extended offshore voyaging with ample tankage and systems to support long passages.
Extensive upgrades and maintenance have been completed in recent years to get S/v Heaven ready to cruise. Decks were repainted with new nonskid, and a blister repair with a new epoxy barrier coat and antifouling paint was performed. The cockpit table was enlarged, and a comprehensive electrical system review was completed in 2025.
