Boat Description

NEW PRICE POINT – OCTOBER 2025

This Dettling 51, Blue Zone (#12 of 17 built), is a rare offering of a fine express cruising yacht with sleek lines, sea-kindly motion, and extremely well-appointed and comfortable accommodations. One of its best features is the expansive aft deck which allows the crew to enjoy views of the anchorage from a safe, spacious platform that also serves as a convivial entertainment area.

The deck space is user friendly. It has easy-to-navigate side decks with solid stainless steel lifelines, a spacious foredeck with plenty of space for relaxation, and excellent use of the pilot house cabin top/bimini hard top for dinghy stowage and lift, as well as antennae and other hardware.

The pilot house has superb visibility and comfortable raised seating for three people. The helm and operational instruments are to starboard, allowing the crew to come and go without disrupting the person at the helm. An overhead hatch amidships provides access to an instrument panel that opens up on the cabin top, so one can stand on the pilot house dashboard and navigate from the outside position. Secondary throttle controls to port of the stairway allow flexibility when docking.

Salon and cabins are state-of-the-art. Salon cabinetry is teak, with an easy-to-clean vinyl headliner with teak trim. Several hatches for light and ventilation plus large side windows allow in light. The cabins and heads have cream Formica bulkheads and overheads, with teak trim (and teak cabinetry in the forward cabin) for contrast, which makes the spaces light, clean, and extremely appealing.

Access to the engine room is via a hatch in the aft deck floor or through a door in the aft cabin. A central walkway between the Cummins 450HP engines takes one to the 13.5KW Onan generator at the back of the space and gives access to areas where the air-conditioning units, filters, etc., are housed.

The current (second) owners have used Blue Zone extensively and have made numerous improvements and upgrades. She is ready to go.

Make an appointment to visit this comfortable, well-appointed, well-maintained, Downeast-style cruising vessel. You will be glad you did!
