Love this yacht and lifestyle but it’s time for us to move on. Six years ago we looked at all the other catamaran brands and were disappointed with so many impractical design decisions for our needs–until we came across a Manta. It was love at first sight and we’ve never regretted that decision. We’ve had so much fun living on her, cruising from Bahamas to Maine, and continuing to improve on the legendary Manta MKII Catamaran.
Tiki Hej (tiki hey) is a 2005 Manta MKII 42ft catamaran is BAHAMAS READY, or Maine or where ever your dreams will take you. Extensively updated and upgraded. We have lived aboard for 5+ years and returned from Maine to Stuart, Florida in December. We continue living aboard and cruising until she sells, keeping her well maintained and ready to go. For sale by owner, as-is. The owner requires financial settlement only. No trades.
Is Tiki Hej a good fit for you? Tiki Hej was upgraded with a strategy to give blue water cruisers “quiet comfort, simplicity, and low maintenance on and off the dock in extended seasonal stays”. Most later model, well maintained and upgraded, Mantas will sell for about or under $300k in the current market. With the Tiki Hej premium upgrades and total value, and no broker fees rolled in, you should compare to catamarans in the $400-500k range. If you’re just looking for a catamaran to be at dock all the time or a fire-sale project catamaran, this blue water Manta catamaran is NOT for you. But if you like freedom of city docks to quiet cove anchorages, exploring the charming east coast ICW towns, remote beach locations, New England to Bahamas and more, even in off-season, be our guest and come take a look.

TIKI HEJ IS SPECIAL – Quiet Insulated Comfort off and on the dock
Tiki Hej is UNIQUELY OUTFITTED to make her even more simple, light, efficient, safe, and comfortable. She finished a major refit in 2025 with NEARLY EVERY SYSTEM upgraded prior to cruising to Maine. One of the upgrades, and this is really a big benefit, is that the OLD CARPET interior and HEADLINER was REMOVED and REPLACED with a lighter, INSULATED material and cover that is bright, lovely, durable, and easy-to-maintain. No “old boat” smell. ROPE LED lighting throughout. INSULATION is a game-changer upgrade.
TIKI HEJ IS ENERGY EFFICIENT
Tiki Hej has 1155W SOLAR, a 1400Ah LITHIUM house bank, and new MABRU AIR CONDITIONING units that may make Tiki Hej among the most energy-efficient of any catamarans in the world. Running AC or HEAT while ON THE HOOK is a game-changer. A SINGLE 30A SHORE POWER connection is all that is needed to run all systems in the rare event you even want to hook up to shore power. Usually not needed. The GENERATOR was REMOVED as it’s no longer needed. Less weight, less maintenance, QUIET COMFORT, more storage. ??
Example: The owners have enjoyed hot summer days and the cooler autumn weather and colors returning from Maine. They anchored out entirely 7 months enjoying the New England coast in INSULATED, AC/heat COMFORT. The insulation knocks down the heat on hot days and draftiness on cool days.

New D1-30 ENGINE (2025) replaced the older port engine and now matches the starboard model. New SALON CUSHIONS. New WINDOWS. New ELECTRONICS and INSTRUMENTS. New DRY TOILETS. Tiki Hej removed the blackwater system. NO more PUMP-OUTS. Lighter. More water-efficient. Less to maintain (4 pumps/macerators removed). New STEERING cables and controls. New stainless RUDDER blades and seals. New, upgraded, stronger AUTOPILOT drive. Tiki Hej GROUND TACKLE is a step above what’s recommended for catamarans her size with a ROCNA 88lb ANCHOR, 200ft 5/16 STAINLESS chain, and with both STANDARD and EXTENDED BRIDAL systems for safety and comfort. Sleep well. Tiki Hej has a new WATERMAKER, a 40g/hr SeaWater Pro. Very efficient and simple to operate and maintain.?Two compressors for FRIDGE and FREEZER. STARLINK HIGH PERFORMANCE. TENDER FOR SALE
Note: The owners’ YELLOW TENDER is available, offered separately. It is a WHALY 310 with 20HP MERCURY ELECTRIC-START engine. Virtually indestructible and unsinkable. Very low / no maintenance. Very safe, comfortable, fast, 20kt+. Easy to spot, hard to steal and just a lot of safe fun.
