2008 Privilege 495 Macera

Macera is a Privilege 495 designed by Marc Lombard and built by Alliaura Marine in France. She was launched in 2008, is registered in Canada, and received antifouling work in November 2025.
Engines
The twin Yanmar engines were rebuilt by a Yanmar dealer in 2021 and have approximately 700 hours since the rebuild. The engines were last serviced in November 2025.
Battery and Power
The house bank was converted to LiFePO4 lithium in 2025 and the electrical system includes multiple chargers, inverters, shore power, and substantial solar generation to support extended off-grid operation.
Electrical and Systems
The vessel features multiple watermakers, a recently installed generator, and integrated heating and air-conditioning systems to support comfortable long-term cruising.
Electronics
Macera is equipped with an upgraded Raymarine electronics suite, radar, chartplotters, VHF communications, and satellite connectivity to support offshore navigation and communications.
Accommodation
The spacious four-cabin layout offers generous interior volume with multiple heads and comfortable berths, making the boat well suited for liveaboard cruising or family voyaging.
Galley
The galley is arranged down and has been updated with newer appliances and household-style refrigeration to support extended provisioning and meal preparation aboard.
Rigging and Sails
The standing rigging was replaced in 2022 and the running rigging has been updated between 2020 and 2025. The sail inventory and sail handling systems are in place for serious offshore passages with slab reefing and powered winches.
Safety and Ground Tackle
Macera carries comprehensive safety equipment, including liferaft(s), EPIRB capability, lifejackets, flares, first-aid gear, and modern firefighting equipment. The ground tackle and anchoring systems have been upgraded, and the windlass was replaced in 2023.
Tender and Deck
The boat includes a complete tender package and deck gear, with davits, a bimini, cockpit cushions, deck showers, and other items to enhance comfort and utility on deck.
