Boat Description

Escapist has been privately owned since her original owner. Her third and current owners have equipped the boat for extended off-grid comfort and they’ve maintained a truly turnkey vessel.

Owner’s Comments:

The boat is made for long-term cruising with everything you need to spend months off the grid. The 1,000Ah LiFePO4 house battery bank is charged by 2,200 watts of solar, with additional wind and hydro generators. A Victron Quattro 5,000-watt inverter/charger powers the 230V AC side of the house with a Victron Multi-Control remote. The galley is fully electric, equipped with a four-hob induction range and a 1,050-watt microwave oven with convection and air fry options. With this boat, there’s no need to search for propane refills in remote locations. If you prefer propane, all the propane lines remain in place, but we do not currently carry propane tanks on the boat. There is a main refrigerator with freezer, a separate four-shelf freezer, plus three Engel drawer fridge/freezer combos built in under the helm station.

A 5,000-watt universal transformer ensures compatibility with 110V/120V 60Hz (American) appliances and electronics. The 40GPH SeaWater Pro watermaker keeps the freshwater tanks filled. There is also Starlink to keep you connected no matter where you drop anchor.

All navigation and sailing electronics are B&G with a Zeus 3s display. There is one Harken (two-speed) electric winch and four Harken (two-speed) manual winches on deck.

All lines and sheets run back to the helm, with a full enclosure for foul weather. The mainsail halyard, topping lift, furling, and reef lines were upgraded to Dyneema in 2021. There is also a bowsprit-mounted gennaker with endless line furler (with sail bag) and symmetrical spinnaker (with sail bag), both currently stored.

The sale includes a lightweight Offshore Cruising Tender (OC 300) with a 2023 Suzuki 9.9HP 4-stroke outboard.

Manufacturer’s Comments:

Like its predecessors, the Lagoon 400 S2 is designed for coastal or ocean cruises. It can comfortably accommodate eight with its three cabins, elegantly fitted, spacious interior, and her cockpit and salon on the same level.
