Alacrity, a Bruce Roberts 45, was custom built in South Africa for a global circumnavigation. This craft is built like a floating tank with many extra layers of fiberglass from approximately one foot above the waterline to and including the keel.
The main cabin roof has two heavy lifting points installed: one over the main engine area and a second set over the generator location, so if any work is planned there is no problem using heavy lift systems without worry. This boat is built strong!
Two surveyors and one professional sailor have said this is the strongest boat they have ever seen; the foredeck doesn’t move and it’s very solid.
