Cassandra is a Catana 39 catamaran that has been maintained to a very high standard, is well equipped and is in sail-away condition. This is a boat for sailors who want a fast passage maker with the independence of a Watermaker and solar system with Life batteries. She was designed by the famous Lock Crowther and was built by Catana during the time when the brand earned its reputation for performance. She is a fast, lightweight catamaran with slender hulls and daggerboards, suitable for off-shore or ocean cruising and racing. She performs well to windward, pointing with monohulls while her high bridge deck clearance keeps her moving fast in a seaway. A powerful sail plan enables her to maintain speed under sail in lighter air when others are using their engines, with the flexibility to reef and sail well upwind in heavy air. Yet she can be handled by a couple. Built in France, she has cruised in Europe and the Mediterranean, crossed the Atlantic to the Caribbean and then north to the USA. This boat also had a brand new 2023 Zar Rib 10 aluminum hull dinghy.
