S/V Thalia is now on the market! The Passport 40 has always been considered to be one of Robert Perry’s most popular designs. There were 148 built from 1980–1991, and it is truly a boat that you can live comfortably aboard and that can take you to see the world. These fine yachts are highly sought after by people looking for good performance, excellent livability, and supreme seaworthiness.

Interior Features

Her interior is comfortable and well laid out with a beautifully crafted teak interior, showcasing exquisite joinery unparalleled in many modern boats. The two-stateroom configuration offers a fore and aft cabin with ample storage and hanging locker space. The master cabin features a cozy Pullman-style berth to port, leading to a full head forward equipped with a shower and a manual marine toilet. The spacious main salon includes an L-shaped settee on port surrounding a large salon table, perfect for entertaining guests. The galley is equipped with double stainless sinks, a Princess propane three-burner stove with oven, and very efficient refrigeration and an ice box.

Under the sink is a water filter with an independent output, and there are two manual foot pumps for both house water and raw water. In addition, there is a Jabsco house water pump with a separate pressure tank. All lighting throughout the vessel has been upgraded to LED, providing efficient and bright illumination.

Engine and Performance

S/V Thalia is powered by a 50 hp raw water-cooled Beta Marine diesel engine repowered in 2012, with 3,250 hours. It also features a high-temperature alarm for added safety. The stuffing box was repacked with new material, cleaned, and re-threaded in 2025. In 2016, an Ewol three-blade folding stainless prop was installed. She has a comprehensive sail collection.

The Harken roller furler for the genoa and a removable inner forestay further enhance sailing capabilities. She is equipped with state-of-the-art electronics.
