Performance, Pedigree, and Pristine Condition. Big Turtle is a turn-key Outremer 45 ready for bluewater cruising. U.S. import duty paid!
Preliminary photos; updated photos and video coming soon!
Big Turtle is a gorgeous 2016 Outremer 45; she represents one of the cleanest examples of the model on the market today. There is a particular feeling that comes with stepping aboard a boat that has been loved. Big Turtle is that boat. Immaculate inside and out, meticulously upgraded, and prepared with the kind of care only a thoughtful, hands-on owner can deliver.
Outremer needs little introduction among serious cruising sailors. Built in La Grande-Motte on the French Mediterranean coast, the yard has spent decades refining a singular philosophy: keep the boats light, keep them simple, and keep them fast. The Outremer 45, penned by the Barreau/Neuman design partnership with exterior touches from Patrick Le Quément and an interior by Franck Darnet, is the distillation of that ethos. It has daggerboards for upwind performance and shallow-water access, a protected helm and cockpit for long passages, and a displacement low enough to make the boat sing in light air. She is the catamaran serious bluewater sailors choose when they intend to actually sail.
Big Turtle is configured as the three-cabin, two-head Owner’s Version, with a generous master suite occupying the entire starboard hull and two guest cabins to port. The main salon is bright and well ventilated, with panoramic visibility to the horizon and a comfortable dinette that converts easily between passage making and entertaining. The galley is fully electric—induction cooktop and induction oven/microwave combo—eliminating propane from the boat entirely and simplifying both maintenance and provisioning.
Big Turtle has been updated and maintained to a standard rarely seen on the brokerage market. The bilges are spotless. The exterior cushions show no mold or staining. The cockpit enclosure is believed to have never been installed. Every system has been touched, serviced, or replaced within the last two years.
Big Turtle is U.S. duty paid. Currently en route to St. Augustine, FL, and available for showings by appointment.
