Boat Description

We have owned two Lagoon 450F Owner Versions and believe that it is the best boat for cruising. This boat has always been privately owned, never chartered, and the bulkheads were inspected and fortified by Zimmerman Marine, an authorized Lagoon service center. We are a full-time live aboard couple who have taken meticulous care of our home. We live off the grid so all systems are in great working order and ready for your cruising adventure. We are making the bitter sweet decision to sell Sweet Caroline II to go back to land to help with my first grandchild. We look forward to meeting this boat’s new owners and helping you acclimate to your new sailboat/home. Check out our videos below, one is the outside tour and the second is the inside tour that shows you how we live on the boat. Very educational if you’ve never lived on a boat!

A few unique features on our 450F catamaran are: A Bow Thruster for much easier docking; A hydraulic Passerelle (with remote) for stern dock ties or “Med moorings” with pop-up handrail making easy entry for passengers; Solid stainless steel aft cockpit handrails that make moving on passages safer; All toilets are fresh water or salt water flush; And an upgraded dinghy. Some of the more recent major updates include: New Electronics- Zeus 3 Chartplotter, Radar and Wind Instrument; New Code Zero Sail; New Trampolines; New Windlass Motor; and Various New Running Rigging. There are additional recently upgraded or renewed boat components detailed below.

If you are considering older Lagoon 450s, you might be interested in the major differences starting in the 2016 models: The Galley design was changed to be more open and larger resulting in more countertop space and more storage space; The Yanmar engines were upgraded from 54HP to 57HP; And the Sail Drives were updated from the SD50’s to the more reliable SD 60’s. These differences have made our 2017 450F so much better than our original, older 450F model. There are also many reasons why we love the Flybridge model (as opposed to sport model catamarans.)

This 450F is a wonderful boat. Her carbon color sail bag, cushions, and trampolines give her a sophisticated look. Her spacious rear cockpit, front cockpit, and flybridge make her a great boat for entertaining all the fun cruisers you will meet and friends/family who join you in your travels. She is well designed in accommodations and is chock full of storage cupboards and lockers. She also sails like a queen and is always one of the fastest non-performance sailboats on our passages. And with us living off the grid full time, we take great pride in making sure all her sailing and mechanical systems are well maintained. The only work this boat needs is she’s ready for a bottom paint job, and that is negotiable. No surprises here, this is a great boat, and she is ready for you to experience the adventure of a lifetime!
