Boat Description

S/V Two Hullarious is a well-loved, carefully maintained Lagoon 35 CCC — one of only eleven built — offering the rare combination of big-cat comforts in a remarkably convenient size.  She strikes the ideal balance of  practicality, performance, and comfortable cruising  with galley up design, modern upgrades, and thoughtful interior improvements that make her feel far more modern than her years.

Overview
Designed by renowned multihull architects Morrelli & Melvin as a true Coastal Cruising Catamaran, the Lagoon 35 CCC delivers performance that belies her length and interiors that maximize every inch of space. Reviewers have described the 35 CCC as capable of “quick and comfortable coastwise exploration… redefines what you think is possible in under 35 feet of waterline.”

Features & Distinct Advantages

Twin Engines & Maneuverability

Unlike many cats this size with a single engine, Two Hullarious sports twin Yanmar diesel 2GM20s — one in each hull — giving her exceptional control in marinas and tight quarters. Docking becomes a joy rather than a chore, and while cruising we rarely have a need to run both engines to keep up a steady pace. Ample power to propel her along at 7 kts, but her true performance shines under sail, whether it’s cruising on the main and jib or running downwind on the spinnaker.

Short-Handed Ease & Helm Visibility

All sail controls lead back to the helm, and visibility from the helm is superb, with sightlines to all four corners of the boat. Single-handed sailing is comfortable and straightforward. I can easily set sail for a day and return to dock single handedly, which is an amazing feat for a boat that feels so spacious inside. Practical touches like the hard bimini panel and accessible pilot house roof make sail handling and boom access easy without worrying about mast steps. And docking is simplified by a helm position that allows for easy transit and access to cleats without obstruction.

Comfortable & Spacious Interior

With a beam of almost 16 ft, Two Hullarious feels considerably larger inside than her length suggests. Her galley-up design — rare in smaller cats — keeps the cook in the action and makes entertaining effortless with abundant counter space and ventilation. We lived aboard for four months cruising the Bahamas and never felt cramped — in fact, friends on larger monohulls made ours the entertainment boat due to its usable space.

Deck & Livability Features

Her shallow 3.5 ft draft lets you explore waters inaccessible to most monohulls and larger cats. Huge deck space, walkable hull tops, and generous storage enhance both utility and comfort. Lounging options abound — trampoline, bean bag on deck, or hammock on the pilot house roof — creating multiple “living rooms” under sail or at anchor.

Cruising Ready & Connected
Two Hullarious is fully equipped for serious cruising comfort:

  • Electric head with selectable tank or overboard discharge and macerator pump for offshore use.

  • Air conditioning & heat, powered by shore power or the 4200 W Fischer Panda generator.

  • Starlink internet for reliable connectivity — we worked remotely in the Keys and Bahamas with excellent coverage.

  • Solar power from two 300 W panels that keep the battery bank happy at anchor, with room for easy expansion.

  • Lewmar Delta #45 anchor with 100 ft of chain and 150 ft of line holds confidently in sand and mud.

  • Bridge deck clearance is sufficient to avoid any hull slapping

Livability Details That Matter
There are countless small, thoughtful features aboard Two Hullarious that quietly elevate day-to-day life and make extended cruising genuinely comfortable. The fresh-water stern shower is invaluable after a swim or sandy dinghy ride. The oversized galley sink with salt-water foot pump may sound minor, but it dramatically reduces fresh-water consumption and makes cleanup underway or at anchor far easier. Large overhead deck hatches provide excellent natural ventilation, meaning the air conditioning is rarely needed. A custom heavy-duty aluminum stern arch securely supports the dinghy while also serving as a mounting point for a grill and cruising accessories. Both cabins feature standard queen-size berths, eliminating the hunt for custom linens and making bedding upgrades simple and inexpensive.

Professional Praise
“Lagoon hit it out of the park with the 35CCC — great performance under sail or power and astonishing accommodations in just 35 feet.”
“It will redefine what you think is possible in under 35 feet of waterline for quick and comfortable coastwise exploration, lots of fun under sail and plenty of comfort when the hook is down.”

Summary
Two Hullarious delivers big-boat benefits in a compact, manageable platform. You get most of what you love about a 40+-footer — excellent live-aboard space, strong sailing performance, shallow water access, and real cruising capability — without the headaches of docking fees, hauling limitations, or unnecessary size. This is a sensible, sea-worthy boat that will get you where you want to go in comfort and style.
