Vessel noted by broker as well-built with comfortable, soft interior and good sailing characteristics Salon experience described as "jewel box" living for passages and island cruising Many sails to the Bahamas; used for long-distance cruising

Destiny 2 is an excellent, well-maintained example of the fine Belize line of Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans. They are noted for their quality construction and lack of historical structural issues.
The helm is in a logical location where you are protected from the elements, with great all-round visibility, access to sail controls, and still connected to your crew either inside the cabin or in the aft entertainment area. It is a great place to enjoy sundowners or events.
The interior is notably soft, with comfortable seating, no sharp corners, and a separated galley to make meal preparation easy.
Sailing performance is surprising for a non-daggerboard boat because of the large sacrificial keels, giving great upwind performance and added safety.
The engines and sail drives are located ahead of the rudders, providing significantly more maneuverability than forward-mounted rudders.
Great bridge deck clearance minimizes slamming.
The FP Belize is a perfect blend of performance and family comfort, offering cruising that is also easy to single-hand, as many senior sailors have experienced.
As a broker, I have sailed many times on and alongside this model of catamaran, and I am constantly impressed with these boats.
Owner Comments
Sailing and living on Destiny II brings a new appreciation for life. Many ports, many crossings, and many sails in many seas teach a new rhythm to life.
The Fountaine Pajot Belize 43 brings together a strong, well-sailing vessel with an interior designed with an artist’s eye and a sailor’s experience. The cockpit offers an accessible helm station, and the cockpit layout allows sheets and traveler to be handled easily. Designed with curving seats and protection from wind and ocean, Destiny II gives experienced sailors an appreciation of how the Belize was meant to be handled.
The main salon is warm and bright with a wide view through curved windows set at eye level when sitting and standing. Comfortable seating surrounds a beautiful and versatile drop-leaf table on a curved settee upholstered in turquoise fabric. Many delicious meals have been served from the adjacent galley, which is an efficient space for meal preparation.
Sailing on Destiny II is like living in a jewel box and watching land, ocean, and changing skies. Waking up to star-filled skies and balmy breezes has been a pleasure. We have sailed this boat for several years to the Bahamas. This Belize is made to sail, and everything related to sailing on this boat has received the utmost attention.
The accommodation layout includes four double cabins with nearly queen-size bunks. The aft cabins have walk-in access by the bed and generous closet space. Full standing headroom throughout the boat accommodates heights over six feet. Each hull has a head with sink, toilet, and shower. The starboard aft area is entirely open for storage. Forward bunks have closet space and under-bunk storage, and doors open to the crew quarters, which can be used for sleeping or storage.
This boat is well outfitted for long-distance cruising.
Notes on Destiny II
The bottom and underwater gear have been professionally sanded and painted annually by reputable marina yards. Regular haul-outs and thorough servicing have been carried out to maintain performance and safety.
In 2023 there was a haul-out and service that included bottom painting and repairs to the rudder bearings and fuel line in the intake area. Earlier maintenance periods included additional bottom work and service at established boatyards.
In 2018 and at other times, bottom work was completed in both Marsh Harbor, Bahamas, and at Essex Boat Works, including sail drive servicing and related maintenance. Salon cushions were reupholstered and refurbished in 2017, and the oval table was modified to a drop leaf by a skilled woodworker in 2021.
A professionally fabricated starboard structure provides support and protection for the crew at the helm. Overall, the vessel has received consistent attention to maintenance and upgrades to remain a comfortable, capable cruising platform.
