BOAT DETAILS:
Vessel name Imany was launched in 2012. It is a Lipari 41 built by Fountaine Pajot. The hull and deck are fiberglass. The steering system was replaced in 2024 with a SeaStar Teleflex Safe-T QC rotary assembly. The bottom was last antifouled on 11/25/2024 with two coats of Petit Odyssey 60, and the original gelcoat finish above the waterline has not been painted.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
In July 2020 the bottom was sandblasted at St. Augustine Marine Center and three coats of Petit barrier coat (white/grey/white) were applied, followed by two coats of Petit Ultima 60 ablative.
ENGINES:
The main engines were repowered by Volvo Penta in 2020 by Fordam Marine in Jacksonville, FL. The engines are Volvo Penta D1-30s with sail drives. The port engine showed 881 hours and the starboard engine 845 hours as of 12/5/2025. Cruise speed with both engines running at 2400 rpm averages approximately 7.2 knots, about one knot less when running on a single engine. Fuel consumption at 2400 rpm is approximately 0.75 gallons per hour per engine. Hot water is provided from the port engine or can be heated by the portable Honda generator. Refrigeration and the stand-alone freezer operate on 12 volt systems.
BATTERIES AND ELECTRICAL:
House batteries were replaced in November 2024 with Lifeline GPL-4CT units. The starboard engine starting battery was replaced in November 2024. The port engine can be started from the house system or from the starboard battery. A Victron Centaur 12V 60 amp battery charger is installed, and the battery switch is located in the port engine room. A portable Honda EU22i generator is serviced annually. New solar panels were installed in November 2024.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT:
The vessel has an Echotec reverse osmosis watermaker producing approximately 50 gallons per hour driven off the port engine. There is a Victron Phoenix inverter for 230V output and a 220V 32 amp shore connection with cable to attach to a portable generator. A washing machine (Hoover H-Wash 300 Lite) was installed in November 2023 and is run by the portable generator. A Webasto diesel heater provides heat to the living spaces. The hot water heater is an Isotemp 24 liter unit installed in November 2022 in the starboard engine room; the port engine or the portable generator can heat the unit.
ELECTRONICS:
Depth and speed instrumentation was updated in November 2023 with an Airmar Smart TRIDucer multisensor. GPS chartplotters and related electronics were updated in May 2023. A Furuno autopilot control head was added in 2025 and a new wind transducer was installed in 2025. A Garmin VHF radio was installed in May 2023, and an Iridium Executive satellite phone with PredictWind reports is on board. A TV with DVD player was added to the master stateroom in 2022.
ACCOMMODATION:
The layout features three cabins with queen side beds, with two cabins on the port side and the starboard cabin serving as the owner’s cabin.
BATHROOM:
There is one manual head on the port side and one electric head on the starboard side. The holding tank is located on the starboard side and provides approximately seven days of storage under typical use. New faucet sets were installed on the starboard head in 2025 and on the port head in 2024.
GALLEY:
The galley includes an Eno propane three-burner stove with oven and double stainless sinks with a new faucet installed in November 2023. A Vitrifrigo 12V freestanding freezer was installed in November 2024. The refrigerator is a 12V chest-style unit with a new compressor installed in November 2023.
MAST AND RIGGING:
In January 2021 all standing rigging was replaced and a new Schaefer System 3100 roller furler was installed at St. Augustine Marine Center. In January 2022 all running rigging and lifelines were replaced.
SAILS:
The mainsail and jib were replaced in 2024 by Mack Sails of Stuart, Florida, and are reported to be in excellent condition. A bowsprit for asymmetrical sails with a top-down roller furler was added in 2023.
