Presented for sale is S/V Dragon Heart, a classic, well-maintained Downeaster, a heavy-displacement offshore vessel. Her clipper bow, wine glass transom, and clear deck offer timeless, elegant lines with a comfortable, luxurious interior. She is strongly built with a one-piece hull and hand-laid fiberglass, with all below-waterline solid bronze seacocks. These vessels are built for extended cruising, comfort, and safety.
Interior features.
The interior is conventional in outline and well thought out in detail. There is plenty of interior storage and space for extended cruising, all presented with high-quality, hand-crafted Burmese teak. The forward cabin has a double berth with a two-door entrance. The starboard side of the main cabin has a pilot berth outboard of a settee, and the port side has a settee that converts to a double with a shelf over it. The spacious U-shaped galley is well equipped.
Opposite is a fixed chart table and a quarter berth. The interior has a beautiful teak-appointed trim throughout and is spacious with 6 1/2 ft headroom.
Upgrades and condition.
Extensive upgrades and improvements have been made by the present owner over the last four years, including new rigging. A list is available with more details.
With some TLC and a few personal touches, S/V Dragon Heart will be ready to cruise again!
