The new Privilège Signature 580 has a hard act to follow. Its predecessor, the 585, continues to be a much sought-after blue water yacht famous for its heavy weather sailing ability and liveaboard capacity.
The new 580 is designed and built to improve on that record.
First born of the new generation of Privilege catamarans by marine architects Marc Lombard and Franck Darnet, Vento features generous interior and living space, exceptional finishings, and excellent performance under sail. Vento has a galley down configuration and a forward lounge with access from both the salon and the master suite.
The helm position provides greater visibility and direct communication to the cockpit and the upper fly deck. An intelligent line management system allows you to trim and adjust your sails without ever leaving the helm. Also, single line reefing, main halyard, main sheet and genoa sheets are led to two electric winches right at the helm. The genoa is easily controlled by the standard electric furling system.
The Privilege 580 is designed for long distance cruising. A serious offshore yacht should not be burdened with sail drives. A robust shaft drive installation ensures that engine and transmission components are accessible while the boat is in the water.
Vento is “AS NEW” and available for viewing in Barcelona, Spain. She has been used very little since her launch and always carefully maintained by a meticulous crew.
