2002 Mainship 430 Trawler “Kumbaya” is a fine example of a well-equipped, well-maintained cruising vessel, capable of coastal cruising, the Great Loop (she is a two-time veteran), island hopping, and beyond.
She has the popular two-stateroom (each with a queen-size bed), two-head (each with a walk-in shower), galley-down layout. The enormous salon gives the feel of a comfortable living room at home. A port and starboard side door and two rear-facing sliding doors give easy access for line handling and to the roomy flybridge. Add high gunwales and safety rails around the entire boat and you have a safe, comfortable, roomy home on the water.
While she can run at slower trawler speeds, the boat can cruise comfortably at 18–20 mph and has a top speed in the low to mid-20 mph range if weather or schedule dictate faster travel.
An enormous amount of cabinet, locker, hanging locker, drawer, and racked under-floor storage makes her a viable long-distance cruiser.
