The cockpit is 18" longer than previous year Hunters. All Lines run aft with the sheets within easy reach of the helm. This new 36 has a large fold down rear helm seat which opens the transom up another 3 feet and functions as a boarding area, swim platform, and dinghy access. The decks are clear of obstructions with flush hatches and good no skid for safe maneuvers.
The yacht is equipped with the latest model Sailing speed and depth instruments conviently placed over the companionway is view of all the crew. The large pedastal has room for a Chartplotter as well as the Autopilot controls.

The standard 20 Hp Yanmar diesel is adequate but virtually every owner will opt for the 29 hp Yanmar 3YM30. There is a dedicated space for a generator. the engine is easy to service, with easy access from sides front and rear. The 36 is also offered with the Elco electric drive for silent pollution free motoring.
Roller main and genoa for effortless sailing with good performance but easy adjustment of area to suit wind conditions. The Hunter Stainless Steel arch provides easy handling of the main, keeping the lines clear of the cockpit, while minimizing effort needed for trimming the main.
