As for the interior fit-out, once again, the Nauta Italian design office combines elegance and functionality, and offers us two versions of this new model:
• 3 or 4 double cabins … and what cabins! The attention devoted to detail and the use of the volumes make this new interior a unique and enjoyable living space.
• Attractive moulded wood emphasises the smooth curves of the interior furnishings, designed with care by Nauta.
• Island double beds for the aft cabins and beds with side access for the forward cabins,
• The aft cabins benefit from a bathroom with a separate shower,
• Very large windows in the cabins offer excellent illumination and magnificent views of the surroundings,
• The vertical glazing in the coachroof provides saloon illumination: a well-lit, comfortable environment that is perfectly balanced between the galley and saloon areas,
• The U-shaped galley, fully fitted with broad work surfaces and extensive storage space, is oriented towards the external cockpit.

An ingenious deck layout: The mast moved further aft and the self-tacking jib, a guarantee of performance under sail and ease of handling, provide the ability to bring all operations together in one place.

An ergonomic helming station at the coachroof bulkhead, offering many advantages:
• direct communication between the cockpit and the helming station,
• direct access to the coachroof,
• a composite bimini with a sliding panel to provide shelter for the crew,
• a sliding closure panel for helming station safety when under way,
• centralised controls for ease of operation.

A cosy cockpit, with smooth, elegant curves:
• a single level from the aft platform to the saloon: a structural "revolution",
• entirely new ergonomics that ensure excellent use of space and ease of circulation on board,
• a large glazed door that occupies the entire width of the coachroof, and provides access to the unparalleled internal volumes.
• The suspended steps at the transom provide a whole new perception of the boat: a continuous, wide and inviting platform, worthy of a large vessel.

The mast being moved further aft offers many advantages on a cruising catamaran:
• a self-tacking genoa for ease of use,
• a larger foretriangle for a greater choice of downwind sails,
• a shorter boom for ease of maneuvering,
• a mainsail that is broader near the head, taking advantage of less turbulent wind for a real improvement in performance,
• re-centering of the weight, which greatly reduces pitching.

Boat Description

2017 Lagoon

Named Cruising World’s Best Full-Size Multihull Under 50 Feet in 2017, this is your opportunity to own a well-equipped, 3-cabin owner’s version of the very comfortable and efficient Lagoon 42. With style and a strong personality, the Lagoon 42 is positioned right in the sweet spot of Lagoon’s fleet. A major improvement over the 42’s predecessor was the mast being moved further aft allowing for a large, self-tacking fore-triangle reminiscent of the L39 and L52. This setup, with all lines leading to the helm and a power winch located right in the center of all the action, allows for easy sailing with just a few crew or even single-handed. The location of the helm is just a few steps up from ample exterior cockpit seating and the spacious coach roof are just a few more steps up from the helm. Options include the Comfort Equipment Configuration, Code 0 Rig and Pole, Asymmetrical Spinnaker Gear, Cockpit Fridge, Composite Bimini, Outboard Engine Bracket, Large Teak Cockpit Table, White Fiberglass Cockpit Table, Cockpit coffee table with cover, Sun Lounger Pads for the Coach Roof, 57 HP Yanmars, 110V Inverter, Onan 13.5 KVA Genset, Quietflush Electric Heads, Stainless Steel Galley Fridge, Berth in Port Bow Compartment, Air Conditioning, Convertible Double Berth in Salon, Fans in Salon and Cabins, 100L Freezer, Built in Microwave, B&G Electronics including a Zeus 12” Chartplotter at the Helm Station, and Liferaft.
