A Gunboat 55 may be one of the all-time great bluewater family cruisers. That fact can get lost by the pundits hype, cost and complexity of many Gunboats. However, this Gunboat 55 delivers three cabins, two heads, a gorgeous salon that can be truly opened up on nice days, and stunning lines. Her long slender waterline is where the bluewater magic happens. This all-carbon fiber Gunboat 55 is lightweight, efficient, quick, and has minimal motion offshore. Her proportions were kept deliberately narrow to reduce motion. Wider cats are notoriously more jerky underway. The Gunboat 55 is 57' long and 25' wide. Her only motion is forward with ease. Her high wing deck will prevent wing slams in all but the most severe conditions. She will sail offshore sitting on 8-14 knots for days and deliver higher daily averages for shorthanded cruising crews than just about any other owner-operator cruiser. She will do so while throttled back from her ultimate potential.
