Hulls: Fiberglass over plywood sandwich construction; Okume marine grade plywood (Lloyds approved) exterior covered with fiberglass, over frames and stringers (1” thick below water line (16 plys) and ¾” thick above waterline (12plys)). This is extremely high quality ply and is very expensive.

Decks: Okume marine grade plywood exterior covered with fiberglass, over frames and stringers (¾” thick)

Bulkheads: Okume marine grade plywood (¾” thick)

Crossbeams: Douglas Fir laminated hollow box beams exterior covered with fiberglass, and carbon fiber tensile straps to bond beam with bulkheads




Vessel History


This yacht was custom designed and outfitted to perform crewed charters to high end guests of the Aman and Ritz-Carlton hotels. The construction of this yacht began in 2005; she was outfitted in 2007 and launched in March 2008, where she sailed from the builder’s yard in Florida to the Turks & Caicos.

She was designed to be operated by team of two to take a maximum of 4 guests for luxurious high end overnight charters and the occasional day charter for 24. Completely equipped with every amenity and all supplies and spare parts for long distance voyaging -- Sandpiper is in sail-away condition.
