Bridgedeck Salon:
A huge 200 square foot salon with large U shaped settee to starboard, 3X6 foot chart table with A A huge 200 square foot salon with large U shaped settee to starboard, 3X6 foot chart table with cabinets to port, and an inside steering/navigation station forward. Large panoramic widows forward and abeam and 6 opening hatches with sun shades and screens make this salon light and airy. Huge dining table for 8 doubles as a map table or entertainment table. New ultra leather upholstery. Teak and holly “Viking” floor. Component speakers and subwoofer and Sony high voltage preamplifier. Rich cherry woodwork and joinery throughout.
Forward of the Starboard stairs is the galley with a AC /DC Norcold refrigerator (2009) and microwave/convection oven. Huge galley with over 7 feet of counter space, numerous cabinets and sliding drawers and a 4 burner propane stove top and oven. A large stainless steel sink with hot and cold freshwater mixer is amidships. An over head opening hatch, opening port with curtains, huge windows abeam and good head room communicating with the salon makes this galley a pleasure to work in. Viking teak and holly soles with huge storage beneath.
Forward of the galley is a self contained crash container, making the boat virtually unsinkable.
Hull and deck are both one- piece moldings in hand laid glass fiber, using powder bound mat, bi-axial woven rovings, isopthalic resin, and Kevlar reinforcement in high load areas. 11/4” solid structural bulkheads throughout.
Below the waterline the hulls are 5/8” to ¾” solid laminate, while the topsides and deck incorporate an end grain balsa core. Unique winged keels are integrally molded and sealed off from the hulls and along with the fiberglass molded water tanks form a double bottom for extra safety. Huge water tight bulk heads fore and aft.
The mast is stepped just forward of the cockpit, consequentially the rig is characterized by a relatively small mainsail and a large genoa. The fractional cutter rig with roller furling jib and genoa, the accessibility of the mast from the cockpit, and well placed winches allow for easy sail control from the cockpit.
