Before you come to Tortola, whether it be by ferry or plane, you may be wondering, “Who will be there to pick me up?”, and it is very important that you do ask yourself this question. It is always better to arrange your taxi before reaching the island, and Catamaran Charters recommends that you use Sebastian’s Transport.

Sebastian’s Transport Ltd. has been an active taxi service for over 35 years and is known to provide visitors of the beautiful British Virgin Islands with outstanding transportation services. Online booking, contact information, and the rates for their services can all be found on their website at www.transportbvi.com.

Their vehicles are modern, air conditioned, and very well kept. Their drivers are knowledgeable and happy to share any information regarding the islands restaurants, attractions, or history. They also offer complimentary bottles of water to all passengers and will assist you in loading or unloading your luggage at pickup or drop off in any weather.

If your flight or ferry has been delayed, as long as you are using Sebastian’s Transport, there is no need to be concerned. If your name is on their list, they will wait until the last flight or ferry to make sure you still get to your destination safely. Furthermore, they have worked closely alongside Catamaran Charters for over 20 years, and they will never leave you stranded. This is especially important if you arrive late in the day. The Catamaran Charters office closes after 5PM and there are only two boarding times available, 12PM and 5PM. In a situation where you would be arriving to the office after 5PM, the Sebastian’s Transport staff know what to do. They will not only drive you to the base in Hodge’s Creek, but they will also walk you to your boat and help you with all of your luggage. If you choose not to organize your taxi service prior to arriving, the government taxi dispatcher at the port of entry will pair you with the first available driver, who will most likely be nice, but may not be familiar with Catamaran Charters procedures or the location of the base.

So it is very important that you make your pickup arrangements with Sebastian’s Transport prior to your arrival. Doing this will ensure that one of their drivers will be waiting for you at your port of entry, wearing a bright orange polo t-shirt, and holding a sign that says “Catamaran Charters.” After booking you will receive an email voucher from them that you should print out to have in-hand upon arrival. This voucher can be shown to the driver and it can also be used to show the taxi dispatcher at the port of entry that you have already made arrangements to be picked up. If you do forget your voucher or have misplaced it, you can still ask the taxi dispatcher for Sebastian’s Transport or at the very least, remember the bright orange polo t-shirts!
