Growing up on the South Coast of England, Robin Hodges was afloat before he could walk. He sailed all varieties of boats in his teens, regularly team raced and competed in National Championships. Robin became a sailing instructor and interspersed teaching with yacht deliveries between the Med and NW Europe. He also gained his RYA Advanced Powerboat and Yachtmaster Offshore.

Robin joined P&O Cruises and qualified as a Navigating Officer in 1997. Whilst serving on board passenger ships and travelling the world, he experienced a great deal of practical seamanship and navigation. In his own time, he has also sailed in the waters of the Caribbean, Med, Far East, Atlantic, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, North and South America. Robin enjoys sailing, rowing, kayaking, windsurfing, yacht and dinghy racing and served as a voluntary Lifeboat Crewmember for ten years.

Leaving the sea to work with yachts, he started with his first brokerage in 2000 and has since managed two brokerage offices, before deciding to concentrate on new Gemini sales over the past five years. In that time he has sold more Geminis and has more knowledge of their construction than any other broker! With ten years' brokering experience on a variety of yachts and powerboats, he now specializes in multihulls, having become a fan of their virtues and realizing their fantastic advantages as cruising yachts.
