  2. Vastly Improved Visibility at the Helm

  3. Twin Inboard 15HP Yanmar Diesel Engines

  4. Fixed Keels and Rudders for a 34" Draft

  5. New High Efficiency Catamaran Rig

  6. New Standard Layout with 'Owners Hull' or Optional Two Cabin, Two Head Version

Newly Redesigned Cockpit Back to Top

  • Larger, more comfortable, easy to get around with a beautiful, curvaceous design

  • SPACIOUS; The new Cockpit on the Gemini Legacy 35 was completely redesigned by Warren Luhrs personally, with better seating and dramatically more useable space

  • EASY AND COMFORTABLE: With the curved steps on the transom, it is exceptionally easy to move into and around the cockpit

  • NO MORE MAINSHEET TRACK IN THE WAY: Moving the mainsheet track up on top of the canopy eliminated a lot of clutter at the stern of the boat

  • STANDARD HAMMOCK OR OPTIONAL REAR BENCH SEAT TO PROVIDE EXTRA STORAGE AND LARGER PROPANE TANKS

  • WIDER SIDE DECKS: It is not just the cockpit that is easier to move around in, it is also easier to walk on the side decks. The cabin top has been slanted inboard and the stanchions redesigned so it is now much easier to walk forwar

Newly Designed Pilot House Back to Top

  • Improved visibility from the helm and more space and light inside the main salon

  • The entire pilot house has been moved 18 inches further forward and 4 inches wider on each side

  • New Pilot House windows are much larger so visibility is dramatically improved from the helm station

  • Light, space and volume inside the main salon has increased dramatically

  • Headroom at the dinette table has increased so no more head bumping when you get up from the table

Twin 15HP Yanmar Diesels Back to Top

  • EXCELLENT MANEUVERABILITY: with the ability to have one engine in forward and one in reverse

  • INCREASED RELIABILITY; The advantage of two engines over one

  • FUEL CONSUMPTION OF 1.5 GALLONS AN HOUR

  • CRUISING SPEED OF 6.5 KNOTS UNDER POWER

  • EASY ACCESS TO THE ENGINES; Access panel in head and huge hatch in cockpit opens to the port engine and generator. Starboard engine access is under the aft bunk

Fixed Keels and Rudders Back to Top

  • DRAMATICALLY SIMPLIFIED WITH NO SACRIFICE TO PERFORMANCE

  • SHALLOW DRAFT: 34 INCH DRAFT: Keels are 7 feet long and 16 inches deep

  • BOAT CAN SIT ON HER KEELS AND RUDDERS

  • POINTING 40 DEGREES TO THE WIND and very good performance with no noticeable reduction in speed while sailing

  • HUGE AMOUNT OF ADDITIONAL STORAGE in galley and navigation station due to removal of centerboard cases

New Catamaran Rig; No Backstay and Square Top Main Back to Top

  • HIGHLY EFFICIENT with diamond spreaders and no backstay

  • SQUARE TOP MAIN SAIL is 60 square feet larger than previous Gemini models while the mast is still the same 46 foot height off the water

  • MAINSHEET TRACK IS ON TOP OF THE CANOPY increasing available cockpit space with much less clutter

  • ALL LINES RUN TO THE COCKPIT. This system is a cruiser's dream and has virtually eliminated the need to go forward

  • OPTIONAL CODE ZERO on a bow sprit with roller furling. A perfect option to the hassle of spinnakers while still maximizing performance in light winds

New Interior Layout Back to Top

  • STANDARD LAYOUT OF THREE CABINS AND ONE HEAD

  • Head is aft in the port hull

  • Forward owner's cabin now has the queen sized bed turned athwartship for easier access off the bed for two people
  • OPTIONAL TWO CABIN, TWO HEAD LAYOUT

  • Second head in the forward, starboard hull

  • Queen sized bed forward and full double in the aft starboard hull make this layout perfect for two couples

Owners Hull

  • OWNERS HULL: Completely new layout with 'Owners Hull'. Head is in the back of the port hull so no more walking all the way around the boat to get to the head

  • OPTIONAL BLINDS IN SALON SECTION OFF THE HULL to create a completely separate space for the owner

  • MAINSHEET TRACK IS ON TOP OF THE CANOPY increasing available cockpit space with much less clutter

  • INCREASED HEADROOM; Headroom throughout the boat is now a minimum of 6'2"

  • ADDITIONAL VENTILATION AND SCENIC VIEW: two large opening hatches and one opening port-light make this cabin light and airy during the day, while the recessed lighting makes it cozy and comfortable at night

And That's Not All...

  • Spectacular, roomy salon with over-stuffed leather cushions and an open layout with plenty of ventilation

  • Optional Coffee table shown in photo on the left, standard dinette table in photo on the right

  • Standard dinette table fits over the optional cockpit table OR the coffee table so either space can be used for dining

  • Salon converts to huge guest bed

  • Storage cabinet for dinette table or bed conversion cushions when not in use

  • Galley work surface on the inboard side is wider and has increased storage

  • Double sink with pull out faucet

  • Trash can holder

  • Two burner propane stove

  • 4 cubic foot fridge

  • Optional microwave completes this galley

  • Electrical panel is now at the navigation station; easy to use and well laid out with plenty of room to add additional equipment

  • Ample storage on both the inboard and outboard side of navigation station, including top opening chart storage

  • Opening cabinet shows holding tank level and allows easy inspection
