Even though economic times might say otherwise, early 2009 will be the best time to buy a boat.

Once all the bad news finally comes to an end and everyone realizes that we are going to get out of this mess, it may be too late. By mid 2009 we could be seeing consumer confidence returning and sellers seeing some hope.

I am sure that you have already heard of our "Killer deal of the week" (Sign up now) and there will be more boats out there that sellers HAVE to get out from under than we will be able to show at any one time. And we are not just talking about used boats. What about new boats being held in inventory? What sort of great deal would you need to make an offer on one of our new inventory boats?
I've got a Lagoon 380, 3 x Lagoon 420's, 2 x Lagoon 440's and 3 x Lagoon 500's.
If you are willing to put it in a contract and back it up with an escrow deposit (refundable if the deal does not get accepted) then its easy to make an offer on a new inventory boat.

The first 2-3 months of 2009 will be the BEST time to try to find yourself that boat at the best possible price. Call me to discuss this further, but don't delay as those who move fastest will have the pick of the crop.
Right now I have some EXCELLENT deals available on used Lagoon 440's. Looking for a 4 cabin boat, then what about this 2005 Lagoon 440 at $439,000? Its a reduced asking price for a limited time only. Contact me today!

Worried about Financing a purchase?
Marine Lenders are still ready to provide loans and in fact are eager to provide competitive interest rates and terms. This is one aspect of the credit market that has never changed. Qualifying for a Marine loan has always been more stringent and required more disclosure.

Another way to consider owning a boat in these times, is to place a boat into a charter fleet, where charter revenue can help defray the cost of ownership.
I have boats available now that already exist in our charter fleet and have some advanced bookings, or could easily be added.
I have boats from the Lagoon 380 through to the Lagoon 500.

Not sure it makes sense for you to take on the whole financial exposure of a boat for charter? What about a Fractional ownership program? We can put together up to 5 owners in a boat that can be used for primarily private use or into a vessel that is primarily for charter use. Either way could be just what you are after.

2009 will also see the release of some new Lagoon models and the re-launch of a current model with new features.

The new Lagoon 400 will be offered in the US on a limited basis to begin with. Only 5 hulls will be offered before September and they will have a very special introductory base price of $349,900. Once these 5 are sold, then the 2010 models will be offered at about $383,000 base. That's a $33,000 savings!
The Lagoon 400 will be on display at the Annapolis boats show in October, but by then, these first 5 will surely have long gone.
The new Lagoon 620 will also make its debut in the US in 2009. Please contact me for details, information, availability and pricing.

The popular Lagoon 420 will be relaunched as the 421 with a new bimini design that will bring its looks more in-line with the other models of the range, a modified transom for better performance and a larger sail area with an option "fat" (or square) head mainsail for an additional $1 (NO,.....not a typo!)
The Fat head main will also be offered on the Lagoon 400 and 440.
Availability for all these boats as new orders is limited, so the sooner you place an order, the sooner your new catamaran can be delivered for 2009.

I look forwards to hearing from you.

Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings.
