Charme introduces: Captain Christopher “Chris” Robinson was born in St. Thomas in 1971. Educated in Florida, his love of the Caribbean and his homeland brought him back to St. Thomas in 2002. After earning his USCG 50 Ton Master License, Chris began to pilot day charter yachts and term charter yachts. He is a Certified SCUBA Diver, an avid fisherman and can show you all the great snorkel spots in and around the Virgin Islands. Chris has an extensive knowledge of the local flora and fauna. He looks forward to sharing his love of sailing and exploring with you.
Nicolle Demond, chef/first mate, met Captain Chris the late 90’s. An accomplished chef and hospitality worker, Nicolle joined him in St. Thomas in 2005. She worked with Captain Chris aboard day charter boats and branched out into term charters. Nicolle, also a Certified Dive Master, joins us aboard S/Y Charme to make certain your guests have the vacation of a lifetime!
Good Medicine introduces Captain Doug Schuch who hails from North Carolina. While there, Capt. Doug enjoyed working as an instructor in whitewater canoeing, kayak paddling, rock climbing, whitewater rafting and skiing. Captain Doug’s love of sailing has taken him up and down the U. S. east coast from New England to Florida down the South and Central American coasts, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and the Eastern Caribbean. He has also sailed the Atlantic Islands, including Canaries, Azores and Cape Verdes. A long time boat owner, Capt. Doug has extensive experience as the head bartender of the world famous Westin resort in St. John. His knowledge and experience in the U. S. and British Virgin Islands. Coupled with his desire to show you the very best he will surely help to create the vacation experience you so richly deserve.
Chef/Mate Alice Thigpen also holds a US Coast Guard license along with her PADI SCUBA Instructor license. She has worked on many yachts (Calypso, Wayward Sailor, Noshooz and Ocean Runner) in the U. S. and British Virgins over the last six years and love sharing the amazing underwater world with others both diving and snorkeling. She and Captain Doug have sailed together over the past six years and look forward to sharing both the yacht, the food and the amazing underwater world of the Caribbean.
