Lagoon 500 Specifications

"Comet" is working double-duty as a new boat for sale that also happens to be one of our more popular charter catamarans. This luxurious 5 cabin/5 head layout has already earned close to $45,000 in charter bookings in the last 6 months. Contact one of our sales specialists today to discuss how you may convert all existing bookings into extra charter income to help defray the cost of ownership.

The Lagoon 500 was designed by Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prevost, who have won a record number of awards for multihulled boats (in 2004, boats they designed won the four first places in the famous English Transatlantic race), and benefits from the latest developments in naval architecture.

The Lagoon 500 is a luxurious new high-performance boat designed for ocean cruises that includes the innovative features that have made the Lagoon 440 a success.

Accommodations include light oak Alpi woodwork and laminated wenge floors for a modern and comfortable look.

This 5 double cabin version has 4 double cabins and an additional cabin with bunk beds and a bathroom. A/C optional. The 4 heads include sink, toilet, and separate shower and 1 head for midship cabin includes integrated sink, toilet and shower.

The dinette in the salon and the galley has a 4 burner stove, oven, grill, refrigerator and freezer.

This Lagoon provides maximum comfort with features like a forward cockpit with face to face seating, numerous lockers, and a full view forward. The helm station has a long 6 seat bench, lockers, and access from each side making this a great living space.

The hulls, bridgedeck, and deck are built by the Infusion Technique whereby the entire molded structure is covered with a flexible plastic film and air vacuumed to draw the resin by depression to evenly layer the structure.

Lagoon uses special care with the installation of its various plumbing circuits such as the freshwater distribution circuit, sea water supply, and grey and black water system.

Materials like high pressure PVC tubing, rubber flexible pipes, stainless steel valves, seacocks and connections work best in the seawater environment.

The stresses on the rig of a catamaran are about 10 times that of a monohull so only the best in deck gear and rigging (Harken & Lewmar) are used.
