A recent addition and just a short “skip” to the south takes you to our Office at the gateway to the Florida Keys. The Annapolis Catamaran Center
Annapolis has to still be the “Sailing Capital of the World”. Our office across from downtown Annapolis is in the historic Eastport District of town between Spa Creek and Back Creek. I spent 6 years in this town and developed my interest in selling yachts here after a years cruise out of the Great Lakes. The catamaran experience just continues to grow in the Chesapeake, thus our second primary office in the United States. We represent Lagoon here for the Mid-Atlantic, represent a number of fine previously owned yachts as well as provide full service via the excellent yacht yards in the vicinity. The Tortola Catamaran Center
Maybe a destination, maybe a gateway to the Caribbean, Tortola is a great place to visit or to stay for a while. I have been sailing the British Virgin Islands since 1978 (guess I have dated myself) and selling in the BVI since 1990. Really seems to have changed very little except for the introduction of the catamarans. This Island network is very special by geography. There are very few if any at all Island chains that has the logistics of a main island surrounded by outer islands where effectively one can sail from one anchorage/port to another without open ocean sailing. Good news for the charter industry that relies on this benefit during periods of time like the “Christmas winds” of January where the trade winds are blowing hard and long.
The Tortola Catamaran Center is built around our charter base Catamaran Charters located at Nanny Cay on the Island Tortola in the BVI. I have been around many fleets and charter operations and I can quickly say that this operation is World Class, its staff and the yachts that they maintain. Services are extensive.
