In the French Mediterranean the climate is extremely favorable, especially in the Var and Toulon region with more than 2800 hours of sun per year on average (over 300 days) therefore you can expect to enjoy long, hot summers with warm nights. In the summer the temperature climbs up to 25° C and late spring (May) and early autumn (October) are particularly enjoyable months with an average temperature of approximately 20° C and even in winter temperatures can be mild.

The Mediterranean can be divided in two large zones.

1. West of Toulon
   Winds from the Northwest dominate throughout the year. The "Tramontane" blows from the Pyrenees to Sète and "the Mistral" blows down from Vallée du Rhône and may even reach as far as Corsica and Sardinia. Although rarely are these winds strong during the summer, a season with a South/South-East breeze from the sea. This kind of wind rarely exceeds 15 to 20 knots. The Mistral is responsible for the exceptionally sunny conditions in the region, parts of which have the largest number of sunny days in France.
2. East of Toulon
   The impact of the Mistral is very moderate. In the summer the dominating wind is a South/ South-East breeze from the sea that rises around noontime and calms down in the evening rarely more than 15 knots. Interestingly, the Mistral brings with it a purity of light where distant hills, almost invisible at other times can be seen in startling detail. inds from the East/North-East are possible but they rarely exceed 20 knots.

From June to September the temperature circulates between 20° to 25° C and the weather is glorious.

A strong swell from the South/South-West to Southeast appears in the West of Toulon and is considerably weaker in the East of Toulon. Water temperatures are in the 70's to low 80's in the summer, perfect for water sports of all kinds. Tides are less than 30 cm.

Day 1: Port Pin Rolland / Porquerolles (2 hours)
Anchor for the night at Langoustier Bay. A small paradise where driving cars is strictly forbidden. Porquerolles can be visited on bicycle or by foot. This village with its small harbour is a perfect place to enjoy and completely relax.

Day 2: Porquerolles / St. Tropez (6 hours)
Anchorage at Pampelonne Bay. Meet the jet set but try not to miss out on discovering the old harbour, the citadel and the charming old city. Stroll along the narrow roads and visit the Annonciade Museum.

Day 3: St Tropez / Bonporteau Bay (2 hours)
Pretty anchorage with crystal clear water and sandy seabed's.

Day 4: Bonporteau Bay / Port Cros Island (4 hours)
If the French President is not present, anchoring at the fortress is allowed otherwise there is a beautiful anchorage at the North of the bay in a beach encircled with pine trees.

Day 5: Port Cros / Porquerolles (1h30)
Let yourself be guided by an array of indicated botanical paths as you discover the exceptional landscape of Port Cros. For snorkelling fanatics the under water sea discovery is a must. Short navigation towards the Baie de l'Alicastre at Porquerolles.

Day 5: Port Cros / Porquerolles (1h30)

Day 6: Porquerolles / Embiez Island (3 hours)
Anchor at the Island of Grand Rouveau in the West. Visit the Oceanographic Museum. Take a lovely stroll on an island where cars are prohibited.

Day 7: Embiez Island / Port Pin Rolland (2 hours)
Return to the base in the afternoon.

Day 8: Port Pin Rolland

Day 1: Port Pin Rolland / Embiez Island (2 hours)
Anchor at the Island of Grand Rouveau situated in the West.

Day 2: Embiez Island/ Cassis (3 hours)
Visit the Oceanographic Museum. Stroll around a beautiful island where cars are prohibited.
Navigate towards Cassis in the afternoon. Spend the night in the harbour or at anchorage.

Day 3: Cassis / Calanque de Morgiou (2 hours)
Not to miss: The village of Cassis and Cap Canaille, the highest maritime cliff in Europe (400m high).
Navigation commences in the early afternoon to visit the Calanques d'En Vau and Port Pin.

Day 4: Calanque de Morgiou / Marseille Old Harbour (3 hours)
Navigation between the Islands (Riou, Maïre, Jarre etc). Sightseeing at Marseille: relics of the 2000 year-old Roman harbour and Notre Dame de la Garde.
Spend the night in the harbour or at the anchorage of Frioul (opposite the old harbour).

Day 5: Marseille / La Ciotat (4 hours)
Promenade on the Island of Frioul, Island of Château d'If (Comte de Monte Christo).
Anchor at the Calanque du Mugel at La Ciotat.

Day 6: La Ciotat / Bandol (2 hours)
Sightseeing at La Ciotat: Cap de l'Aigle (Eagle's Cap) and in the morning la rue des Poilus with its spectacular fish stalls.

Day 7: Bandol / Port Pin Rolland (3 hours)
Gastronomical stopover to discover the exceedingly fine restaurants of Bandol, renowned for its delicious red and rose wines.
Return to the base in the afternoon.

Day 8: Port Pin Rolland
Disembarkation.

Day 1: Port Pin Rolland / Porquerolles (2 hours)
Anchorage for the night at the Baie de l'Alicastre.

Day 2: Porquerolles / Calvi (18 hours)
Beautiful navigation with a chance that you might discover dolphins, turtles and even whales.

Day 3: Calvi / Natural Reserve Scandola / La Girolata
After visiting the citadel of Calvi navigate to the South and the natural reserve of Scandola.

Day 4: La Girolata / Ajaccio (6 hours)
A wonderful day of navigation along the coast as far as the îles Sanguinaires (Bloody Islands). Arrival at Ajaccio in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Ajaccio / Porto Polo (4 hours)
Visit the city of Napoelon and sail further to the paradisiacal anchorage of Cala d'Orzu where you may have lunch at the famous straw hut chez Francis.
Another gastronomical excursion at Porto Polo in the evening: Pirate is one of the finest restaurants in Corsica.

Day 6: Porto Polo / Cargèse (6 hours)
Navigate towards the North to anchor in the late afternoon at Cargèse, a picturesque village.

Day 7: Cargèse / Calvi (6 hours)
Anchor at the magnificent cliff of Piana for lunch. An exceptional landscape.

Day 8: Calvi / St. Florent (5 hours)
Navigate towards the Désert des Agriates. Anchor at the breathtaking beach of Saleccia.
Overnight at St. Florent, an animated bathing resort.

Day 9: St. Florent / Centuri (3 hours)
Navigate around the Cap Corse: untouched nature with extraordinary landscapes. Centuri is a small picturesque harbour.

Day 10: Centuri / St Tropez (20 hours)
Anchorage at Pampelonne Bay.

Day 11: St Tropez / Bonporteau Bay (2 hours)
