This Bay has one of the most beautiful beaches in the BVI and is perhaps equally as famous for the "Soggy Dollar Bar," so named due to sailors swimming ashore for their famed Painkillers and paying in wet US currency. These dollars are hung on a washing line behind the bar to drip dry as you drink and play the many games and puzzles, or just relax in the hammocks.  

Previously a must see daytime stop, White Bay has sensibly added some 8 mooring balls at the eastern end, just off Ivan's Stress Free Bar, which can be used for overnight use. Anchoring overnight is not encouraged due to the bay being open to the south and prone to backwinding. There is not a lot of room for error with the reef to seaward and the shoreline being only a short distance apart and a dragging anchor at 2am would not add to your guests enjoyment aboard.  

Entry to the bay is made through the reef at two marked points, one near to the western end directly out from the Soggy Dollar, the other at the east, by the moorings directly out from Ivan's. There are one set of markers on each entrance and staying central to these until you are through the reef is definitely recommended.  It is possible to transit from the east side of the bay to the west and vice versa, but be aware of the black rocks (conspicuous) running out from shore and of course the reef itself to seaward.  The water is clear, warm and generally shallow, with the deeper points around 8-10ft. If you're lucky you may see some Dolphins and Turtles swimming through, they are regular visitors here.
