Enter the undersea world of Snorkeling or Scuba, and you will understand why the Barrier reef of Australia is recognized as the 8th wonder of the world. The Caribbean may not have a barrier reef, but each of the islands offer their own unique underwater environment.
Most of the Caribbean islands are protected marine sites, allowing for aquatic life in abundance. Beautiful reefs and shallow swim throughs await you. Sightings of turtles, stingrays and a multitude of marine life will leave you mesmerized. You will feel as if you are swimming in an aquarium, with crystal clear waters and visibility up to 100ft! Colorful fish and corals abound.
The variety for snorkeling and diving is suited for everyone, from the first time snorkeler to the most seasoned scuba veteran. The islands give you the opportunity to simply snorkel the shallow pools or navigate through forests of star coral and cave diving. There are numerous wrecks to snorkel, the most notable being the Rone (BVI), voted best wreck in the Caribbean by Skin Diver magazine.
The beautiful clear water, tropical fish and coral life make for breathtaking views and great opportunities for photos - Truly a snorkel and divers dream.
The Cruise Club offers snorkeling and scuba diving on all of our itineraries - each and every day. With each stop beginning a whole new adventure. Whether you are on a reef, over a wreck, or in a lagoon, there is always something different to see.
Each of the crewmembers is a certified dive master that will lead the scuba dives (if requested) and provide snorkel lessons. Scuba dives are scheduled every other day, all equipment and tanks are available free of charge. An open water certification is required for Scuba; no experience is necessary for snorkeling. For the more serious Scuba enthusiast, dive charters with multiple tank dives each day are available by request at an additional fee.
