Lagoon catamaran
A Lagoon 450, winner of the Multihulls division at the ARC +

Having set out from Las Palmas on 10 November (i.e. 2 weeks before the start of the ARC), the fifty boats taking part in the ARC+ had all arrived in Saint Lucia by yesterday.

This was the second time that the new ARC course has been organised, including a stopover at Cape Verde, where all the crews awaited the second leg of the crossing to the West Indies. With the additional option of exploring Saint Vincent, one of the less visited of the Cape Verde islands, this alternative route is every bit as exciting as the traditional ARC rally, which started on 24 November.

Of the 11 boats taking part in the ARC+ in the multihull division, there were 4 Lagoon catamarans, two of which took 1st and 3rd place on corrected time, without using their engines once, unlike all the other competitors in the multihull fleet.

The Lagoon 450 Wipaca and the Lagoon 620 Makena, flying Cuban and North American flags, thus proved the perfect envoys for our shipyard, reflecting our conviction: to build comfortable, ocean-going catamarans... that give excellent performance.

Congratulations to the winners and to all the crews!
