Pete Gulick grew up sailing Blue Jays and Lasers on the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers off Sandy Hook, NJ. After working in advertising in Downtown Manhattan, his love for the water and his passion for boats drove him to live 32 miles off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts on Nantucket Island.
For nine years Pete worked as a Marine Mechanic servicing Nantucket's elite boating community as well as its tradition rich scallop fleet during the gray winters. Spending any available free time cruising the waters off Martha's Vineyard, Newport and many of the other beautiful locations in New England, Pete and his wife found themselves driven to fulfill their dream of cruising North Americas inland waterways.
Embarking on The Great Loop in a 32 Nordic Tug, Pete explored the Great Lakes and inland rivers of the United States and Canada. Like many others, he and his wife quickly became right at home within the cruising community. Upon their journeys end, Pete dropped a metaphorical anchor in America's oldest city.
Accepting a position as St. Augustine Marine Center's Customer Service Manager and subsequent Yard Manager, Pete became enamored with the Catamaran Community and the benefits found in multihull cruising. Now this once self-proclaimed monohull purest turned Cat enthusiast has embraced the catamaran community and spends his days helping those much like himself achieve their dream of getting out on the water.
Give Pete a call, share your needs with him and enjoy the excitement of working with him to find your perfect yacht so you too can weigh anchor and set sail for the horizon.
