Karl Weiss grew up sailing the lakes in "cottage country" north of Toronto, Ontario Canada; and owned his first boat, a Canadian Sailcraft (CS) 27, with his brother Paul which they kept in a marina in Port Credit, just West of Toronto on Lake Ontario. Sailed across the lake to Niagara-on-the-Lake to attend Bernard Shaw plays and enjoy fine dining.
For much of Karl's life his vocation was selling engineered metal products and solutions to the aerospace, oil & gas and other industries.
But his avocation has always been sailing. Charting sail boats from 35.5 feet to 60 feet in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, the Windward Islands (St. Martin/St. Maarten and the Grenadines), the Bahamas (Abacos) and the Chesapeake, out of Annapolis (primarily the Eastern Shore of Maryland – Oxford, St. Michaels, Tilghman Island and Rock Hall). Though initially a mono-hull sailor, Karl has learned to appreciate the advantages of sailing catamarans and has become a strong advocate.
Now living in Easton, MD on the Eastern Shore, Karl works out of the Catamaran Company's Annapolis based Catamaran Center, but can be found in Ft. Lauderdale or anywhere the yacht brokerage business and his customers take him.
Give Karl a call, share your needs and wishes with him; and let him guide you through the seven stages to yacht ownership.
